    How to install DirectAdmin

    March 18th, 2010

I recommend rebuild apache and then go to install DirectAdmin.

To install DirectAdmin, you have to install some packages if not installed.

    • yum update -y
    • yum install gcc-c++ gcc automake -y

    # this commands will install gcc and gcc-c++ on your server.

in the next section you must download and run DirectAdmin installer template.

    • cd /home
    • mkdir directadmin
    • cd directadmin
    • wget http://directadmin.com/setup.sh
    • chmod 755 setup.sh
    • ./setup.sh

Now fill in all client ID number, license ID number, hostname, etc..

    Note:

    • your hostname should be a FQDN, i.e. something like cpanel.mydomain.com
    • For OpenVZ, say no to your interface being eth0 and instead specify: ‘venet0:0′
    • For Xen, eth0 is emulated and should be used.

this will take a 20 minute or more so be patient.

When it will output a final message stating that you can log into your new DirectAdmin control panel and finish the installation by going to http://***.***.***.***:2222/
